Denise Richards' daughters Sam, 6, and Lola, 5, "are still very much in the dark" about how their father Charlie Sheen, nude and intoxicated, trashed his Plaza Hotel suite Oct. 26 with porn star Capri Anderson, an insider tells the new Us Weekly, on newsstands now.
Ironically, Richards hadn't planned on Sheen joining her and her daughters for the girls' first trip to NYC last month. A witness says the girls stuck close to Richards and even went with her to the restroom.
Says the source, "They are a little afraid of him."
The former fashion model and mother of two children is reportedly ready to take the troubled star back if it means helping rid him of his demons.
“Denise Richards is very concerned for Charlie,” says a friend of the actress.
“Denise Richards is ready to help, for their children’s sake more than anything else. As previously reported,Denise Richards allegedly turned turned a $1 million deal to wash Charlie’s linens to the public.
“Denise saw everything,” a source told the PopEater website.
“Since the day they divorced, hundreds of offers have been rejected.

Denise Richards has been trying to make the talk show rounds to promote her five-episode stint on Spike TV's 'Blue Mountain State,' but the media just won't let her escape the shadow of ex-husband Charlie Sheen. Last week on the 'Today' show and on Monday's 'The Wendy Williams Show' (weekdays, syndicated), she was grilled about Sheen's latest escapade that occurred on October 26 at the Plaza Hotel in New York.

Williams seemed intent on getting Richards to bad mouth Sheen's behavior, but Richards took the high road.
