Kristy Lee Cook guns down deer, turkeys and other animals on a new reality show called Goin' Country, which features the American Idol finalist showcasing her hunting skills and drew condemnation from the animal rights group PETA.

Kristy Lee Cook is Goin Country.  Cook finished seventh on Season 7 of American Idol in 2008.  The singer has landed a new reality TV show about her life, her music and big-game hunting called Goin' Country with Kristy Lee Cook.  It debuted Sunday (Aug. 1) on Versus, home to National Hockey League regular-season games, the Tour de France and lots of outdoor shows.
